Many of Dell Children’s programs are 100% funded by philanthropy. Dell Children’s Cares helps support the needs of our patient, fellow associates, and our community.
How You Help
Dell Children’s Cares provides funding to a variety of programs that support our patients, their families, and our associates. Your gift makes a meaningful, lasting impact on Dell Children’s and those who come through our doors.
Dell Children’s Area of Greatest Need
The Area of Greatest Need ensures your donation is put to immediate use, whether that be to support capital projects, life-saving programs, or other priorities identified by Dell Children’s.
Dell Children’s Family Fund
Dell Children’s Family Fund ensures direct and immediate funds are available and can be used to provide comfort items and provisions for children and families at Dell Children’s who are experiencing financial hardship.
emBark! Medical Facility Dog Program
The emBark! The Medical Facility Dog Program consists of certified service dogs that work full time at DCMC alongside their handlers, who are all hospital staff members. Each handler team includes a member of the Child Life and Expressive Therapies Department and a member of the interdisciplinary team. These facility dogs can provide comfort and distraction during medical procedures and positive encouragement during therapies.
Endowment for Dell Children’s
All gifts to Dell Children’s Foundation are vital to our mission, but endowments have a special impact, creating a permanent resource to advance our mission. The Endowment for Dell Children’s helps sustain all that we’ve built, and families know we are HERE To Stay.

WHAT IS DELL CHILDREN’S CARES?
Dell Children’s Cares is our annual associate giving campaign. When you participate in Dell Children’s Cares, you cultivate and grow a culture of generosity within our Dell Children’s family. While you are always welcome to make a gift to Dell Children’s Foundation, Dell Children’s Cares is your only opportunity to give via payroll deduction.
IS MY DONATION TAX-DEDUCTIBLE?
All funds are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.
CAN I SUPPORT MULTIPLE FUNDS?
Yes! You can support multiple Dell Children’s Cares funds by selecting the funds and your level of support when completing the payroll deduction form or credit card donation form.

HOW ARE THE GIVING OPTIONS SELECTED?
Giving options are selected based on associate feedback, the most popular funds based on historical trends, and the need for philanthropic dollars. By focusing on programs to fund, we can have a greater collective impact on those we serve.
I SIGNED UP LAST YEAR, DO I NEED TO SIGN UP AGAIN THIS YEAR?
No! If you signed up for a recurring payroll deduction last year, your gift is automatically renewed. If you would like to make changes to your gift, please contact Callie Atkins ([email protected]).
WHAT ARE THE PAYROLL DEDUCTION DATES FOR FISCAL YEAR 2024?
All Dell Children’s Cares payroll deductions will begin July 11, 2025. One-time payroll deduction donations will also occur on July 11, 2025.

CAN ASCENSION ASSOCIATES, VENDORS, VOLUNTEERS, OR NON-ASSOCIATES MAKE WE GIVE TO GIVE DONATIONS?
Yes! Anyone can donate via credit card (one-time or recurring) or a cash/check donation.
Please note: At this time, we are not able to offer payroll deduction for anyone except Ascension associates.
HOW CAN I SUPPORT A FUND NOT LISTED FOR DELL CHILDREN’S CARES THIS YEAR?
Please visit supportdellchildrens.org and give to your chosen fund. Unfortunately, gifts to funds not listed for Dell Children’s Cares cannot be set up through payroll deduction.
