SAVE THE DATE
Our 11th annual Art of Giving event will take place on Sunday April 2nd, 2022 at Dell Children’s from 10am to 3pm*. Patients, artists, sponsor’s children and children of the Dell Children’s Trust join with our art therapy team to create one of a kind masterpieces that are then given to our sponsors for their support for our Art and Music therapy programs (at the $1,000 Imagination Instigator level and above). Enjoy an afternoon of fun, food, friends and the joy in teaching the Art of Giving.
In Just 10 years, The Dell Children’s Art of Giving has raised $1,205,000 for art and music therapy. These non-billable interventions are the best non-medicinal healing tools in modern medicine, helping children work through problems, express themselves, create, sing, be happy, be sad, tell their story, work through family conflict, reveal abuse or neglect or comply with medications and difficult surgeries. Art and Music Therapy also allows kids to just be kids during long, tough hospital days.
The Dell Children’s Art of Giving event not only raises funds for Art and Music Therapy but teaches the next generation about philanthropy and giving back. Alongside event artists, community children and patients give their TALENTS and SKILLS to Dell Children’s by drawing and creating art. When they are finished, they give their creations back to the hospital and to our event sponsors. Then Dell Children’s uses the art to INSPIRE more people to GIVE. And with these gifts, our children will HELP other boys and girls who are sick or hurt and need to come to the hospital. Please click on this link to see our finished artwork pieces
Helping our children heal is vital to our future. They ARE our future. Since 2007, Dell Children’s has been providing a whole world of possibilities to thousands of children from 46 Central Texas counties and beyond. Our high-impact healing environment surrounds children with art, music, nature and a whole host of customized child-centric care.
* In the event of continue social gathering mandates in April 2023, The Art of Giving will either move to a future date or pivot to a virtual art making event that will fulfill all sponsorship benefits and prioritize the safety of our patients, artists and sponsor community

Special thanks for Ella Gottschalk for being our Art of Giving Ambassador and sharing her courageous journey to help other children at Dell Children’s.

As a healthcare system, our top priority remains the health and safety of our patients, associates, volunteers, visitors, and ultimately, our community. As the COVID-19 pandemic continues to trend down, we are updating our guidance for universal masking recommendations for Ascension Texas healthcare settings in conjunction with the most recent updates from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). Within all Ascension Texas healthcare facilities, we will use the CDC’s Community Transmission metric to determine when we will need to adhere to universal masking requirements.
At Dell Children’s Medical Center masking is no longer required where patients are not present. (e.g. staff rooms, conference rooms, meeting rooms, private offices, laboratories, pharmacies, kitchens, or other areas restricted from patient access. Including off-site office buildings).
Masks are still required upon entry to the building but may be removed upon arrival to the event location.
