Dell Children’s Medical Center is gaining ground on a major expansion into Williamson County with the planned opening of Dell Children’s North in spring of 2023. The opening of a second children’s hospital located on 34 acres at Avery Ranch Boulevard is part of a comprehensive, ongoing plan to continue expanding pediatric care in Central Texas over the next 5 years and beyond.

Setting the pace for the community to welcome Dell Children’s into Williamson County, the Maxwell Family has made a $1,000,000 gift in support of Dell Children’s North. This gift continues a long held tradition of the family’s support of Dell Children’s Medical Center and caring for kids in our community.

Dell Children’s North will total more than 135,000 square feet and include 36 beds and emergency and trauma services, with two operating rooms, endoscopy and procedure rooms, sleep labs, a Chapel, and shelled space for future growth. The campus will also include a 60,000 square foot medical office building and dedicated free parking.

Dell Children’s goal is to create a pediatric ecosystem where children and their families can have all of their critical care needs met right here, at home, which has become increasingly important in the midst of the pandemic. In partnership with Dell Medical School at the University of Texas and community physician partners, Dell Children’s will focus on ambitious growth to become a destination for all levels of pediatric care by strengthening existing specialties and developing additional pediatric complex care programs.

On behalf of the children and families we serve, thank you for your ongoing support of Dell Children’s. We sincerely thank Nancy, Nyle and the entire Maxwell Family and look forward to becoming part of the fabric of the growing Williamson County community.
